Amber Rahantoknam - THE ARTIST

AMBIGOU alias of Amber Rahantoknam (1996) is a multi-disciplinary artist from Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Inspired by comics, tattoo's and surrealism she creates colourful characters combined with personal narration. She works in the cross section of illustration, poetry and performance and her many expressions are an important part of her personal voice and identity. She specializes in visual reports, murals and spoken word performance. Her work centres themes such as cultural activism, mental health, sexuality and spirituality.

In 2022 she graduated from her major Illustration at Willem de Kooning Academie. Currently she is working as a fulltime freelance artist while further investigating cross forms of poetry comics.
