AMBIGOU alias Amber Rahantoknam (1996) is a multi-disciplinary artist from Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Inspired by comics, tattoo's and surrealism she creates colourful characters combined with personal narration. She works on the cross section of illustration, poetry and performance and her many expressions form an important part of her personal voice and identity. She specializes in visual reports, murals and spoken word performance. Her work centres themes such as cultural activism, mental health, sexuality and spirituality.
She graduated from her major Illustration at Willem de Kooning Academie in 2022. Ever since she works as a fulltime freelance artist, while further exploring cross forms of her artistic expressions.
